About this editorial team

Marie Lefèvre-Dubois has written about Belgian gambling sites since 2022 and works through every operator himself paying particular attention to bonus terms. Lives and works in Liège.

How we test. we create a player account ourselves, deposit via Bancontact, start a withdrawal and keep an eye on the clock. White or black: we look the operator up at the Gaming Commission and compare the promise with the conditions. What we have not seen ourselves, we do not write.

An affiliate fee sits on the outbound links; that does not change what the review says. An operator without a Belgian licence is described as such, commission or not.

Player protection in numbers

The Belgian legislator approaches player protection considerably more strictly than a few years ago with concrete consequences for your account. By default €200 per week per site may go in.

The Gaming Commission keeps one central exclusion register in EPIS: a single request is enough to stay out everywhere at once. The register is not public. The age bar moved on 1 September 2024 from 18 to 21 for casino, hall and betting; 18 still applies at the National Lottery alone. A trial account falls under it too.
